NATURE IS BESTOWING ITS BEAUTIFUL
PEACH FLOWERS ON VALENTINE DAY
I reside in Dehradun, the
capital city of Uttarakhand in India, which is a valley in the foothills of the
Himalayas. Although in this city also, urbanization has taken its toll and more
and more trees are being cut to build malls and other multistory buildings.
But still as compared to other cities of India it boasts of many of our own
traditional trees like Banyan, Peepal, Mango, litchi and peach. As Valentine Day comes in the spring season, the basant season what we call it in India. The
peach tree is in full bloom. I feel so blessed to watch the tree from the
window of my room.
In the spring season nature
is spreading its beauty all over. The lovely Peach tree with pink flowers is mesmerizing.
Peach fruit has many varieties. It is low in calories and is rich in
carotenoid, vitamin C, potassium. It has fibre, in the form of pectin, a
soluble fibre which is good at lowering cholesterol.
The fruit which has a
yellowish and creamy skin is good to buy. It has red spots on it. The juicy
pulpy ripe fruit is very sweet. When the juice of it flows in the mouth it
seems like an awesome gift of nature. So this valentine day give love to all
humanity and enjoy this fruit in its ripest form within a few days.
